We spend our summers in Kodiak harvesting sockeye salmon at our family's set-net site, Outlook Cove. Salmon sales begin in August.

Our wild Kodiak sockeye salmon is harvested at our family's set-net site using a gillnet. We carefully hand-select each salmon for quality before it becomes part of the Kodiak Fish Co. lineup. Every fish is immediately bled and packed in ice to preserve its exceptional flavor, texture, and freshness from the moment it is caught.

Keep your salmon frozen until you're ready to enjoy it. Properly frozen seafood maintains its flavor, texture, and nutritional value, making it a convenient option to keep on hand for future meals.

To thaw, place the sealed package in the refrigerator overnight. For a quicker thaw, keep the salmon sealed and submerge it in cold water for 30–60 minutes, changing the water occasionally to keep it cold. Never thaw seafood at room temperature or in warm water. Once thawed, keep refrigerated and enjoy within 1–2 days for the best eating experience.

Our salmon portions have had their pin bones removed for your convenience. While every effort is made to remove all bones, occasional pin bones may remain.

Every order is carefully packed and shipped overnight from Kodiak, Alaska. We use high-quality insulated packaging with a recyclable, non-styrofoam liner and reusable gel ice packs to keep your seafood frozen throughout transit.
